Food is so good. We tried tacos and nachos at this place, people are friendly and the place is nice and good music

This is by far one of my favorite happy hour spots in New Haven. I can leave here happy and full paying $12 (tip and tax included). The servers are always so nice and attentive, from quick table service to making sure you have everything you need! I personally enjoy going on Taco Tuesday for their taco deal! I have tried all of the tacos and I would say I prefer the steak, but you can't go wrong with any of them. If you're looking for a drink, they have the best margaritas, and if you're indecisive like me just get a flight! 100% recommend!

I'm so glad we finally had the opportunity for a meal at Te Amo! This is definitely one of my new favorites for Mexican in New Haven. We found all of the food to be delicious, especially the queso and rice bowl. Generous sizes for the tacos with great happy hour and taco Tuesday deals. Great drinks and dessert as well, with very friendly staff. Our server was helpful and gave great recommendations, and the manager also checked in a few times and was very friendly. We'll be back!

Fun place to go in the daytime you could go and eat and drink and enjoy friends or family and at night time they have music and dancing with drinks or food it's really nice.

Te Amo is always a good spot to get tacos and margaritas. The steak tacos are really good and usually my go to alongside a guava margarita. It is a casual spot with a nice vibe. They have happy hour every day from 12-7 pm with $6 margaritas and tacos for $2.50; can't beat that! The service sometimes is hit or miss. On my last visit, the server was not the friendliest but the bartender who was helping was awesome!

There are many good taco spots in New Haven, but Te Amo is definitely one of my favorites! Here's the scoop... The inside is pretty cool, with mostly high-top tables, as well as two bars with seating. The music is generally pretty loud, so I would not recommend it if you're looking for a quiet place to talk. On-street parking is available but usually hard to get, so I park in either the Temple or Crown Street Garage, both of which are only about a block away. Now onto the food and drink... I always order a house margarita on the rocks and it's delicious! They use fresh lime juice and you can definitely tell. I generally get the chips and traditional guacamole for an appetizer, which is really good. For my main meal, I always go for the Coconut Shrimp Tacos, which are topped with diced pineapple and a pina colada sauce... they are seriously delicious! One thing I've noticed with their tortillas is that they're a little flimsy and end up breaking open, but really it's not a big deal. I've never tried any of their desserts, as I usually walk a block over and go to Insomnia Cookies. The service had been good every time I've gone. I've gotten my food quickly and staff have been friendly. Overall a great place to visit when you're in New Haven!
